This drawing continues from folio 9 verso opposite (D35351) with similarly hazy horizontal bands of smudged pencil and chalk to depict the sky and sea in the shimmering evening light. A small circle to the centre right of the composition is solidly filled in with chalk to represent the sun. Beneath it a loose chalk zigzag offers an impression of the sun’s reflection on the water. There are some rough markings towards the bottom of the composition; presumably a continuation of the group of figures found on the opposite page.
