Turner has produced this drawing with the page turned horizontally. In this simple sketch he renders the undulations and furrows of the local topography in fluid line. A tower or fort-like structure is visible atop one of the hillsides. The diagonal trajectory of a jagged line can be seen meandering from the foot of the tower through to the bottom left of the page.
