Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
The work is mounted with the album page turned vertically. It was copied from a drawing by John Robert Cozens (1752–1797);1 the related Beaumont tracing (after Cozens), no.20 (kk 38), is in the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven.2
