At the outer edge of the page, drawn with the sketchbook in the portrait format, is a rough sketch of a two-arch bridge with trees and a stream in the foreground, and mountains in the distance. Turner’s depiction of the bridge is too generalised and the mountains are too vague to make any firm identifications, though it is worth comparing this sketch to sketches of a bridge on folio 33 verso which may be at Aberfoyle (Tate D26740; Turner Bequest CCLXXII 39).
