With the sketchbook in the portrait format are three sketches. The first, drawn with the book turned to the right, is a view of Castle Campbell and Dollar Burn from the approach road (Castle Road) lower down the hill to the south. The sketch is very similar to two sketches on folio 70 verso (D26393). With the sketchbook turned in the opposite direction are sketches numbered ‘1’ and ‘2’ by Turner. These are likely to be views of the hills nearby to the north of Dollar.
