Here Turner has drawn what appear to be four sketches of the communities of Zell, Kaimt, St Aldegund, Neef and Bremm located upstream on the Moselle. Turner has annotated three of them with ‘aldecunt’, ‘Brem’ and ‘[?Kint]’, i.e. the towns of Aldegund, Bremm and Kaimt. Those at the upper and lower registers extend onto the folio opposite; see Tate D28376; Turner Bequest CCXC 13a.
