With the page turned vertically with the gutter at the top, Turner made the following notes in ink:

The note refers to biannual interest payments on Turner’s long-term annuity investments. For similar financial notes on adjacent pages, see under folio 1 recto (D22323).
With the page turned vertically the other way, Turner made what appear to be two sketches. The top one is brief, showing spires or chimneys above a horizon. The second shows chimneys or spires beyond low buildings and trees, and Turner seems to have noted ‘Cows’ in the vicinity. Adjacent pages show Birmingham, which may be the subject here too.
