The page contains two sketches:
i. (main sketch) The Abbey church of St Bertin from the east, closer and in more detail than in the preceding sketch of the same aspect (D29036; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 3).
ii. (top left, inverted) A thumbnail sketch of the Augustan Arch at Aosta, looking through to the town. Turner sketched the same subject on his first visit to Aosta in 1802 (Tate D04501; Turner Bequest LXXIV 9), in a more confined treatment than here.
