Three arches of a bridge can be seen in this very faint pencil sketch. A series of vertical and horizontal marks around these forms suggest other types of buildings in what may be a town. There is another drawing on the verso (D20552; CCXXIV 235v).

Technical notes:
This sketch appears on one half of a large sheet bisected by the faint line of a fold; this half measures 140 x 192mm. The other half is blank and unaccessioned. There is discolouration along the bottom right corner of the sheet.
