The pencil work is by Girtin. This was copied from a sketch by John Robert Cozens (1752–1797) in Beckford Sketchbook VI, p.3, inscribed ‘Near the Cascines’ and dated Sept 21 1783 (Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, D1975.9.3).1
