Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this is a continuation of the drawing on folio 52 verso opposite (D05004; Turner Bequest LXXXI 102), under which the subject is discussed.
Technical notes:
The upper half of the leaf (the lower as foliated) was evidently already missing when Turner made this drawing, so the top part of the sail is of necessity carried over onto folio 54 recto (D05007; Turner Bequest LXXXI 105).
