Two finished watercolours based on this study are known (Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester1 and private collection). Another version of this subject2 is not by Turner, but probably a copy of the Whitworth work by John Henderson, whose son bequeathed it with other drawings by his father, Turner and Thomas Girtin to the British Museum in 1878.
