The entry for this subject, drawn with the page turned horizontally, is omitted (presumably by oversight) from Finberg’s Inventory.1 For other drawings of Melrose, see folios 22 recto and 24 recto (D01019, D01020; Turner Bequest XXXV 16, 18), and two in the contemporary North of England sketchbook (Tate D00969, D00970; Turner Bequest XXXIV 60, 61).
