There are two very faint pencil sketches on this page. The larger of the two, drawn with the sketchbook inverted from the executors’ endorsements, is a slight sketch of a bay with trees that bears a resemblance to views of Loch Ard looking west (folio 3 verso; D26677; CCLXXII 6). With the sketchbook turned to the left from this view is a sketch at the inside of the page depicting mountains, with what looks like a mill building with a waterwheel in the foreground. The same mill may be depicted in a sketch of Loch Venachar on folio 41 (D26672; CCLXXII 3a).
