In this pencil sketch, which appears on the verso of D20321 (CCXXIV 30), buildings of a town are shown ranged along a ridge, the slope of which runs downward from left to right. Marks around the buildings suggest a rugged landscape. Above the houses, halfway up and to the left, the line of the horizon presents a clear view onto plains stretching into the distance.
