These sketches show aspects of Ghent. The upper view depicts the towers and pinnacles of St Nicholas’ Church rising above houses in the centre of the city. In the rear view St Nicholas’ is pictured again, this time from a vantage point on the Marché aux Grainsor Korenmarkt. ‘Bridge’ is inscribed at rear.
