Here Turner depicts the Schloss (left) and Hofkirche (right) at Dresden, taken from a vantage point at the end of Brühl Terrace. Turner has rendered the ornate decorative mouldings of the baroque Hofkirche in detail, and continues the spire in the sky at centre left.
