With fluid and gestural handling Turner has made a rough sketch of two of the buildings at Louvain, rendering the forms of the cupola on the left and the façade of an adjacent building on the right. The drawing of St Peter’s Church extends onto the opposite folio (Tate D28062; Turner Bequest CCLXXXVII 11).
