A finished watercolour of this subject made for Mr Mitchell (see the list of ‘Order’d Drawings’ near the front of this sketchbook, D40557) is now in the collection of the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth.1 Several other drawings in this book are studies either of parts of the mill or of the rocks nearby, which no doubt assisted him in the execution of the watercolour.
The drawing was made with the page turned horizontally.
