A study of gabled buildings in the lower left portion of the sheet has been erased. The waterfall is most likely a North Welsh subject and so to be placed with the drawings of the 1794 tour; but as Finberg noticed, both this sheet and Tate D00337 (Turner Bequest XXI J), could possibly have been drawn in South Wales in 1795;1 see the Smaller South Wales and South Wales sketchbooks (Tate; Turner Bequest XXV, XXVI).
