This is the upper half of a double-page vertical composition, worked up in watercolour, which was removed for exhibition and has remained separate from the sketchbook. The other half is Tate D01628 (Turner Bequest XL 96).
The only other drawing to have been completed in colour like this one is that on folios 39 verso–40 recto (Tate D01526–D01527; Turner Bequest XL 37a–38), a view of Careg Cennen in a storm.
The verso is D41451.
