Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
This is a continuation of the drawing on folio 23 verso opposite (Tate D04946; Turner Bequest LXXXI 44), under which the possible subjects are discussed.
Technical notes:
About two–thirds of the leaf has been torn away and made good with similar modern paper.
