Henry Lamb Letter to James Bolivar Manson 28 October 1913
Henry Lamb was absent from the meeting of the new society, soon to be called the London Group, which took place on 25 October (TGA 806/10/6). This letter indicates that he was not involved with the decision to form the new group as he states that he does not know ‘what the “New Society” is or how I am entitled to elect’. See also TGA 806/1/489, TGA 806/10/6, TGA 806/10/6 and TGA 806/10/6.

Dear Mr Manson
I am sorry I was too busy to attend the meeting at 19 Fitzroy St, having only just returned from Ireland. I am unable as yet to add my X to the enclosed sheet not knowing either what the “New Society” is or how I am entitled to elect.
Yrs very truly
