Martin Parr: 'Photography is a form of therapy'

The Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol aims to collect, celebrate and raise the status of British documentary photographers

Martin Parr is a British documentary photographer, photojournalist and photobook collector. He is known for his photographic projects that take an intimate look at aspects of modern life, in particular documenting the social classes of England.

In 2017 he opened a foundation in Bristol with the purpose of archiving his own body of work as well as collecting and exhibiting a wide range of British documentary photography.
