Joan Miró's work came to London in 2011 in the UK's first major retrospective for nearly 50 years. Renowned as one of the greatest surrealist painters, filling his paintings with luxuriant colour, Miró worked in a rich variety of styles.
Two of the curators of the show, Matthew Gale and Marko Daniel, select three works to give us insight into this rare opportunity to enjoy more than 150 paintings, drawings, sculptures and prints from moments across the six decades of Miró's extraordinary career.
