David Lamelas: 'All I do is think'

The Argentinian conceptual artist introduces his work in sculpture, film, photography and performance

Conceptual artist David Lamelas began as a sculptor in the 1960s and from there began to play with mixed mediums including performance, film and photography. His works takes conventional pop culture references and forms to subvert and expose traditional representation and participation of the artist and the audience.

His work Time 1970 was one of the first examples of Tate acquiring a performance in the form of set of instructions explaining how to restage it, rather than a physical object.
