This sketchbook includes studies for 'The Palm' and 'Path in Wood', both of 1958, and 'The Scales' of 1959; also studies for the table design he carried out in 1958-9 and the draft of a letter to Alexandre Rosenberg which was dated in its final form 22 March 1959. However, two of the drawings of datura flowers could be sketches for a painting dated March 1957.
