She relays gossip about or from Clive Bell, Roger Fry and Helen Anrep, Mary Hutchinson, Lydia Lopokova, Bertha, Roland and Valentine Penrose, Lytton Strachey, Valerie Taylor, Arthur Waley, and the servants Alice Mary and Mrs Harland; discusses her forthcoming trip to Cassis, possibly to be joined by Faith Henderson and Toby; and preparations for the second London Artists' Association exhibition at Leicester Galleries, November 1927 (at which Grant exhibited 'Portrait of a woman' [1927; N05076].
