
June Sarpong OBE has enjoyed a 25-year career which has already seen her become one of the most recognisable faces of British television.
June is also the CoFounder of the Women: Inspiration & Enterprise. WIE first launched in New York in 2010 and then in the UK in 2012 and has featured leading speakers from a gamut of industries. Previous speakers include Sarah Brown, Melinda Gates, Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan, Queen Rania, Nancy Pelosi, Iman and many more.
In November 2019, she was appointed as the BBC’s first Director of Creative Diversity and was in the role for three years. She was also the first Black woman to sit on the corporation’s Executive Committee and spearheaded the organisation’s $124 million investment in diverse content.
She is the author of “Diversify”, “Power of Women”, “Power of Privilege” and “Calling Una Marson”. All June’s books are published by Harper Collins and currently out on global release. June was awarded an MBE in 2007 and an OBE in 2020.
