Go with us on a journey through the 5 Creative Habits of Mind, the teaching method that underpins the ground-breaking scheme, Lead Creative Schools. Join teachers, pupils and artists as we explore this bold and ambitious programme trail-blazing change and improvement in Welsh education.
Creative learning through the arts – an action plan for Wales was published in March 2015 and sets out an extensive hive of activity to the tune of £20 million jointly funded by the Welsh Government and Art Council of Wales until 2020. This is a programme about change and improvement across Wales’ primary, secondary, and special schools, giving us the opportunity to reboot the way we think about and support the role that creativity plays in the lives of our young people. At its heart is the conviction that if we are to nurture the learning capability of children in Wales, an arts rich education should be central to the whole school experience of all learners.
This event is programmed by Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE), a Tate Exchange Associate.
