In 2018 it will be the 30th Anniversary of Tate Liverpool, designed by Stirling, Wilford & Partners.
Using the early concept drawing prepared by James Stirling in 1982 for the design of the gallery, Liverpool School of Architecture’s students will explore the past, present and future of Tate Liverpool’s architecture.
Drop in during the week and explore the process of architecture as a device to analyse the urban environment. Join us for a discussion and panel on Thursday 12 April from 14.00 - 17.00.
In addition to this week-long event in Tate Exchange, join the group on Friday 1 December 2017 and Friday 4 May 2018 for a public review of each of the students' designs. For more details and to be part of these discussions, please email Dr Marco Iuliano at University of Liverpool: Marco.Iuliano@liverpool.ac.uk
The event is programmed in association with the architect Michael Wilford, the University of Liverpool (Tate Exchange Associate), RIBA North, Merseyside Civic Society and Engage Liverpool.
Tate Architecture Studio consists of 37 students, Marco Iuliano, Jane Moscardini, Valentino Capelo and James Jones.
