The Rex Whistler Restaurant

In 1927 a young artist from the Slade School of Art was commissioned to paint a mural for the restaurant at Tate Britain, depicting an expedition of seven people in search of exotic meats. As a result of his inaugural commission the restaurant was named in his honour. Whistler’s fascinating mural provides an exquisite talking point for guests.
