Tate Modern
Tate has embarked on a £215 million development to create a spectacular new building, designed by architects Herzog and de Meuron.
The British Government has announced investment of £50 million to the development, the largest capital commitment to a cultural project in the UK since the British Library opened in 1998. Transforming Tate Modern is set to be completed in 2012.
