Tate Liverpool welcomes over 600,000 visitors a year. It is the home of the National Collection of Modern Art in the North of England and one of the largest galleries of modern and contemporary art in the UK.

With both a special exhibitions programme of modern and contemporary art and exhibits from the Tate Collection, the gallery has shown over 150 different exhibitions and collection displays since it opened in 1988.
In 2006-2007, over 40,000 people participated in Tate Learning activities and programmes at Tate Liverpool or in the local community.
