Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms
Visitors may use the Tate Library and Archive collections in the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms. Admission is free but you are required to register.

Opening Hours from 6 April 2009
Main Reading Room: Monday - Thursday, 10.00-17.45
Archive and Special Collections Reading Room: Monday - Thursday, 11.00-17.00
The Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms are closed on scheduled public holidays and will be closed for one week, from the 1 June - 5 June, 2009.
Making an Appointment
You need to register to use the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms. If you are planning to view material from the Archive, Gallery Records, or Library Special Collections, please make an appointment before each visit. The Archive and Special Collections Reading Room is often full to capacity and we encourage all visitors to book in advance. There is no need to reserve a space in the Main Reading Room where you can view the majority of the Library collection.

About the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms
In May 2002 the entire Tate Library and Archive collection moved into a refurbished area on the lower ground floor of Tate Britain, following a generous donation by the Hyman Kreitman Foundation.
