Environmental and Ethical Policy

Tate Publishing is committed to reducing our impact on the environment and adheres to sustainable working practices.

Our books are printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), or equivalent, certified paper stock. We choose suppliers, printers and manufacturers who share our ethical values to ensure that workers operate under fair, safe and well-paid conditions.

Our warehouse at Tufnell Park, North London, is well underway to meeting ISO14001 standards for environmental management. In the past year, energy consumption has been significantly reduced and the electricity supply converted to 100% renewable sources. Improvements in waste management means that we now recycle approximately 90% of our waste and use only FSC certified packaging materials.
