About Joan Baixas, the Director
Joan Baixas is a dramatist, director and painter, renowned for his
innovative puppetry and theatre projects, painting performances and video
installations, and collaborations with great artists including Matta, Saura
and Miró.
Lead characters:
Merma – the tyrant, Dona – the tyrant’s wife and Cavall - the horse
Merma’s ministers include:
Carbassa – Marquis Ofthepumpkin, Cebolleta – Priest Chives, Capdegos
- Captain Doghead as well as lackeys and musicians.
