Architecture and Art
Crossover and Collaboration

Thursday 11 June – Monday 2 November 2009

How does an artistic approach change the practice and products of architecture? What alternatives can collaborative and trans-disciplinary thinking bring to the search for new ways of building and living in the world? In conjunction with The Architecture Foundation we present a series of chaired conversations that explore these questions with practitioners from around the world. We examine buildings co-authored by artists and architects; collective models of practice; inhabitable installations; and architecture that functions as a living exhibition.

With a range of outstanding international contributors, this series of six events between June and November 2009 advances the debate about the nature of collaborative practice, and the conflicts, similarities and divergences in architects' and artists' creative approaches and resulting products.

Event details will be appearing shortly.
