Roman Ondák has invited Kathrin Rhomberg, the Director of Kunstverein in Cologne, to talk about how she has developed the Kunstverein’s exhibition space and programme. The structure of the building that houses the Kunstverein provides an infrastructure that forms the basis for developing new models of communication and space, contributing to the sensual experience of art, fostering discussion and reflection and helping to question the conditions of art’s production.

Rhomberg has been a key figure in supporting Ondák’s work, giving him a solo-exhibition, Spirit and Opportunity, in 2004 and inviting him to curate an exhibition of the Slovakian conceptual artist Július Koller’s work in 2003. Rhomberg discusses Ondák’s work in the context of the development of the programme at the Kunstverein.
