Once you’ve taken the SMART tour at Tate Modern and everyone’s downloaded the notes, audio recordings and drawings they made during their visit…what next? There are lots of different ways of using this material to enhance class activity, revision and research. You’ll find some suggestions on this page. Projects
For instance students could:-
- Choose a collection of artworks they’ve seen on display, and relate this to their own art practice
- Play the critic and make their own judgements about art on display
- Be a gallery curator and explain their selective criteria for creating a display
- Make multimedia presentations that could be a mini personal study, visual diary, or record of their gallery visit
- Create their own audio guide for a cultural experience or to guide viewers through the experience of their own work
- Generate an art blog, linking and commenting on works from different museums and galleries
