peer leadership

Raw Canvas is peer-led:
This means that is run by young people aged 15 to 23.

For three months every year, Raw Canvas runs a Peer Leader Training Course which gives accessibility to 15-23 year olds of all social, educational and ethnic backgrounds, who will eventually gain invaluable personal and professional experience through involvement with Tate Modern.

The training programme gives an excellent insight into the world of art and art institutions: participants have the chance to talk to curators and artists and utilise various education and discussion techniques. It is rare for young people to have such open access to such a large contemporary arts institution such as the Tate!

You will learn how to devise, plan, organise and run programmes/events/debates for fellow 15-23 peers. Raw Canvas is part of Tate Modern's Education Programme, so upon completion of training, members become Tate employees!
