In 1975 Gilbert & George presented Shao Lin Martial Arts as a 'living sculpture' at the Collegiate Theatre in London’s Soho. Many of the artists’ early works feature them in kung fu poses. The film, starring Gordon Liu and Billy Tang, is one of the first to focus its narrative on the heroes' martial arts training.
