Peggy Ahwesh documents private stories within a culture heavily mediated by the camera. The Fragments Project (1985–95, 50 min) collects histories of people in the filmmaker’s life. Strange Weather (1993, 50 min) is a fake documentary video of four drug addicts in Miami, in which the viewer becomes an uncomfortable voyeur.
