Roee Rosen's work scrambles fact and fiction, playfully negotiating fictional personas, cultural politics and sexuality to question the construction of history and identity. His provocative use of language and translation further complicates this kaleidoscope of personalities.

The Confessions of Roee Rosen, 2008, 57 min
Featuring three illegal female foreign workers who deliver in turn a monologue conveying the artist's fantasies and histories - his 'confessions.'

Hilarious, 2010, 22 min (world premiere)
A classical stand-up monologue that mixes bad jokes with truly macabre situations. The live public react as told, regardless of the meaning.
Sponsored by Outset.

Followed by a discussion between Roee Rosen and artist and curator Ian White.

Programme duration 85 min + Q + A

Curated by Sergio Edelsztein, The Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv.
