Between Two Wars (1978, 83 min) documents workers toiling in blast furnaces from 1917 to 1933, ultimately showing the self-destructive character of capitalistic production. Workers Leaving the Factory (1995, 36 min) starts off with Lumière brothers’ footage of the first film ever shown in public then presents varied scenes of ‘exiting the factory’.
