This six-week course will kick-start plenty of new poems in response to the art in the galleries. Creative writing exercises will be offered to release the imaginative juices and enable you to try different directions in your work. The special emphasis of this term is to generate exciting poems but we will also devote at least one session to group feedback of work in progress. The course will result in a publication on the Tate website.
Pascale Petit’s fifth poetry collection is What the Water Gave Me: Poems after Frida Kahlo. She has had three books shortlisted for the TS Eliot Prize. A Next Generation poet, she has been Poetry Editor of Poetry London and was a founding tutor of The Poetry School.
This course is suitable for writers with some experience of poetry workshops.
