This series, inspired by the format of old fashion salons will engage participants in thinking about concepts contained in the exhibition The World as a Stage presented at Tate Modern. Led by critic and curator James Putnam, who has organised exhibitions at historic sites such as the British Museum and the Freud Museum in London, participants will be encouraged to discuss ideas such as staging, performance and fictional versus real time and space. No prior knowledge of art history or theatre is assumed.
