Tate Members

Tate Members is a charity which supports Tate’s fundamental purpose of increasing understanding and enjoyment of British, modern and contemporary art.

Established in 1958 as The Friends of The Tate, over the last half century the charity has:

  • helped Tate acquire more than 400 works of art for Tate’s Collection
  • provided substantial support for Tate programmes
  • sponsored many major exhibitions
