Every year, Members help add to Tate’s Collection. The Ł5 million you donated in the past year, 2007-08, helped Tate to acquire more than 15 works of art, as well as supporting three major exhibitions and other projects.
The AGM is the one and only chance each year to find out more about the acquisitions you helped to fund, hear from the Director of Tate, ask questions and meet the people behind the scenes.
It is also the occasion when Members are elected to sit on the Tate Members Council, the body which governs the Tate Members’ charity.

Voting at the AGM
At the AGM the accounts for the year are adopted, auditors are appointed and members of Council elected. Voting will be by poll.
Every Tate Member (except second card holders) can vote; you can either:
- Attend and vote in person
- Nominate another to vote in your place ‘by proxy’ (the nominated person does not necessarily have to be a Tate Member).
