Late at Tate
Party Political
Follow us into a world of politics, madness, war and liberty inspired by the exhibition Picasso: Peace and Freedom. Join us for Party Political, a vibrant and exhilarating collection of street theatre performances taking place not only in and around Tate Liverpool but also in more surprising locations throughout the city.
Led by Spanish director Montserrat Gili this international event features artists from the Netherlands, Poland, Zambia, America and the UK. Expect the edgy, the political and the impolite with a series of happenings including death under the dinner table, communist journeys, bull fights, dictators, musical peace processions and much, much more!
Also watch out for 'pop-up' performances featuring Picasso around the city in the lead up to the event. How many times can you spot him?
Spanish Director Montserrat Gili, co-Artistic Director of Dende Collective theatre and Associate Director of The Broadway, Barking will lead an exciting team of artists to bring you this dynamic event. Collaborators include Regina Kelaita and Ties Ten Bosch from Rotterdam based arts collective Volksrekorders, New Music Producer Jonathan Hering and Hope St Ltd Apprentices plus the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Dingle Community Theatre, Valley Community Theatre, Powerhouse, Gdansk Archipelago Cultural Centre and Young Tate.

Jonathan Hering is supported by PRS for Music Foundation's New Music Plus…
